Can't even run a proper dom build anymore, because I can't use my frigging secondary ><. No gale/draw/purge or whatever.

another failed skill update
PvP
PS - Ignored
hum sig - killed off use for non-primary mesmer and hurts mesmers on 10s recharge on any secondary prof skills
PvE
RoJ - still broken
CoP - Ignored
About the only skill balance was MoI and it was hardly genius to de-buff it slightly.
Why don't they just hang a sign on their homepage "couldn't give a damn anymore" and have done with it?

it's pretty broken in jade quarry too.
oh wait, that's pve.
anyways, i have no idea why everyone is still crying about palm strike. the reduced damage and reduced cripple makes it very easy to avoid now. with dual reduce cripple, all you have to do is move away from them, and the cripple will disappear before trample ox hits and stop their combo.

It gets more obnoxious when afflicted monks wipe Togo and/or mhenlo or shrine npc's in AB/FA/JQ get too easily nuked to shreds.

Its not that palm strike is particularly overpowered right now, its just that it is so annoying. With a cripple rune and reduced cripple shield it is extremely easy to dodge the KD on trampling. But its still having good field awareness, proper weapon swapping, and good prekiting to counter my opponent pressing 1 then 2, then repeat every 8 seconds for the entire duration of the match.
Too many players either can't or won't counter PS properly which leaves many teams running it. Very many teams running it. Not everyone is going to develop the skills needed to play at the high levels, when these people lose to a build rather than to more skillful play (very subjected I know, but its the opinion that matters) it just generally discourages play. This is pretty much what has happened to PvP since Nightfall. The middle of the ladder guilds kept losing to what they feel are push button gimmick builds and the whole middle of the ladder quit.
Now we have mostly better players or terrible players; the top players only have themselves to play with and anyone trying to start has a much larger curve to get over before they ever start to see results (i.e. win matches against teams that aren't just terrible).

Why does Anet just keep
Buff -> Nerf Next month, if ppl actually use it :S?
Altough RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing nice to remove SoH, and decrease the FC - Mesmers effiency.
From a ranger + non-lamer point of view^^

Both Rodgorts and Suffering cast even if target dies, and seeing how LC is the elited version of suffering, I'd think it should follow the same rules. LC and Chilbrains are the only aoe spells that I know of that fails to cast if target dies.

Primal Rage but not Warriors' Endurance or Palm Strike? Laughable, but at least they hit one easy-mode skill.
Lingering Curse is still dumb, only not possible to abuse as much on other professions.

I'm not a PvP fan, so I can't really comment on that area. But, honestly...we have the ability to run Save Yourselves! in PvE and PwK had to be nerfed?
The lack of PvE/PvP split just reeks of laziness.

No Reason to Nerf PwK. Rits are gimped enough...sure we can bump up our Armor big whoop...who cant tear us down nearly instantly??. We have to be one if not THE hardest classes to play effectively...PwK was/is a staple. Wrong Wrong Wrong

While we're at it, since we have "SY!" why can't we bring back the old rit lord build?

Actually I'm pretty sure RoJ causes scattering. Since I just farmed Shards of Orr couple weeks ago and we had 4 RoJ monks, and boy, did the mobs scatter, we almost gotta /resign because of it.(And no, we don't suck, really.)
Also.......when you're complaining on how RoJ pwns shrine npc's in AB/FA/JQ shouldn't you be complaining at [Savannah Heat] as well? They both wipe Shrine NPCs just as easily, after all.(And you can go for [Sandstorm] pretty much the same way too)

the difference is what the character can do aside from nuking shrines. the RoJ build is a monk... a smite monk to be sure, but a monk. it comes with some of the best passive aggressive skills in the game, and is quite powerful even without smiter's boon.
the fire ele on the other hand can... spam flare? well, you get the idea.

PwK still will be the staple party heal for most teams. I'm not sure what you mean by "rits are gimped enough", especially when rawrspike (arguably the most solid GvG build around at the moment) utilises two of them. I would also question 'tearing down' a 94 armour mid-liner 'nearly instantly'.

I did a little test and you carry over what i've seen.
1) first, i used a simple build RoJ-based, nothing important, not the mob run away because RoJ lasts only 5 seconds; 2) second, i used a build with arcane echo and RoJ: mobs fleeing normally to the second cast (the echoed RoJ).
having said that, i can say (almost) certain that RoJ cause the escape of mobs if it is run several times against the same group emphasizing, therefore, that there is no mistake in her behavior: the scattering is not the first launch because it lasts only a few seconds. if repeated, however, normally flee.
I think that this behavior is entirely intentional, by design, just to represent a viable alternative to SoJ, nothing else.
